For several weeks, I traveled across the United States in my van interviewing as many freelancers as I could find to try to learn as much as I could about freelancing, even though I’ve been doing it for 10 years already. Before I went full time freelancing again, I really wanted to see if there was anything I was doing wrong or to confirm the things I was doing right. I talked to successful freelancers, people just getting started, people afraid to try it, and everyone in between and of course, filmed their stories.
I’ve spent a majority of my time learning how to film, edit, finding my style, and making mistakes (lots of them). This was my first ever film project.
Huge shoutout to my dear friend Nick Jones for helping me build the beautiful website. Also, shoutout to Spencer Harrison for the custom tracks for each video, to Kris Puckett, Claudio Vallejo, and Jared Fitch for helping with all the feedback, and Jeremiah Warren for video advice. Also for my two partners SONY and InVision for believing in this idea.
The site won Site of the Day on Awwwards.com.
It was also #2 of the day on Product Hunt.
